Shad Fork Trucks Ltd is a market leader in the supply and maintenance of heavy duty handling equipment. From our base in Burscough Lancashire, we supply, maintain and project manage the supply of specialized handling equipment to operators of seaports and Inland terminals in the UK and throughout the world.
Established for 50 years, Shad Group are worldwide suppliers of new and used Reachstackers, Heavy lift Reachstackers up to 500T, Empty Container Handlers, Heavy Duty Forklifts, Terminal and Ro-Ro Tractors, Ship to Shore Cranes, Mobile Harbour Cranes and Rough Terrain Cranes and all other heavy-duty material handling equipment from manufacturers including CES, PDN Cranes, Kalmar, CVS Ferrari, Hyster, Linde and Terex among others.

We are the sole UK agents for the Italian manufacturer CES based near Verona Italy. Who manufacture standard and bespoke heavy lift Reachstackers up to 500T for the wind, oil and gas industry.

We are also sole UK agents for a French manufacturer of specialized Tractor and trailer systems Gaussian based in Hericourt, France.

We have competed for the supply of hundreds of machines over the past 45 years but here are some examples of projects we have completed over those years:
In 1991 We supplied the Kuwaiti Government a value of £6m of handling equipment, including 16 Heavy duty forklifts, 64 Standard forklifts, and 8 Fully mobile workshops and maintenance vehicles. Shad has bestowed the honor of an award from the Kuwaiti Government for the supply of this equipment in the aftermath of the Iraqi invasion.

In 2002 We supplied Brown and Root value of the £4m worth of equipment, which included 2 bespoke Reachstackers for heavy lifting and 6 Standard Reachstackers. The supply of which required very short lead times and therefore required specialized logistics to deliver the machines from the UK, in turn, the machines were flown out to the middle east on Antonov Aircraft from East Midlands Airport.

In 2006 We supplied the largest ever single order of Container handling equipment ever supplied to a UK Company (£6m+), in the supply of 32 Container handling machines to Freightliner who are the largest rail freight operator in the country. These machines were supplied with a 5-year full maintenance contract.

In 2010 We supplied Afras Group in Iraq 6 Reachstackers fully rebuilt and repainted to manufacturer’s specifications and standards.

In 2012 We supplied Archirodon Group in Oman and Morocco 4 Bespoke High capacity Reachstackers for handling offshore piping. These were standard machines with an upgraded design specific for the Archirodons requirement to handle the piping onto sea barges.

In 2017 We have supplied the two biggest Reachstackers in the world to CS Wind Scotland, we have officially handed over the two CES VRS-K reach stackers to our customer CS Wind UK Campbeltown, Scotland.
